Design for every gamer - DFEG

At T&PM and as part of the Design for Every Gamer (DFEG) team, we’re on a mission to create a better gaming world for people with sight loss — and to rally the industry to make real change. We’re constantly evolving, developing new projects and innovations that push the platform forward and redefine what's possible in accessible game design.

Bridging the gap in gaming accessibility

Only 15% of the gaming industry felt equipped to make their games more accessible for players with sight loss.

So, we partnered with The Mill to create a series of visual filters—hijacking gamers' streams in real-time, immersing them in the experience of sight-impaired play.

These filters were shared with game designers and university courses worldwide, while we built a dedicated testing panel of gamers with sight loss to beta test future game designs.

Spectrum shift

Spectrum Shift — the groundbreaking game within RNIB’s Gaming DevKit, the world’s first resource dedicated to making video games accessible for blind and partially sighted players.

In collaboration with T&PM and HEX, RNIB has developed Spectrum Shift — a browser-based adventure game designed to bring the DevKit’s accessibility features to life. From audio cues and haptic feedback to scalable UI and high-contrast visuals, the game showcases how thoughtful design can break down barriers and create truly inclusive gaming experiences across all devices.

Currently in development, Spectrum Shift is set to redefine what's possible in accessible game design.
